A Christmas Tradition with a Twist
Having celebrated the holiday season with a tea in the Empress’ Crystal Ballroom for more than 100 years, the Canadian Club of Victoria is inviting you to a virtual tea party this year.
Join Club members and friends on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11 at 1:45 PM for a tea to remember. We will be graced by remarks by Her Honour Janet Austin, the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia. The program will include a video recording of beautiful seasonal choral music by the Virtual Choir of the Peninsula Singers, along with Christmas carols sung by the Marigold School Children’s Choir, all led by their outstanding choral director, Lena Palermo. We will also hear from student recipients of the Club’s bursary fund at Camosun College and have a sneak peak at the speaker line-up for the new year.
Dig out your favorite teacup and saucer, bake up some goodies, put the kettle on and join us on Zoom for this once-in-a-lifetime virtual tea party!
