The Victoria Hand Project: Making a World of Difference ~Nick Dechev, Ph.D.

  Around the world, some 38 million people need artificial hands, or prostheses, but don’t have access to care. This is a daunting challenge, one being met with innovation by a team based at the University of Victoria. The Victoria Hand Project uses 3D printers to create hands for amputees in developing countries like Nepal, Guatemala and Ecuador.
